Autotality recently hosted an advanced Car-O-Liner training session at our Alpharetta, Georgia headquarters, welcoming Gerber Collision team members and I-CAR instructors for hands-on instruction focused on bench rack setup, structural measuring, and EVO platform utilization.
The training centered around the Car-O-Liner Bench Rack system, PointX measuring and the EVO 1, EVO 2, and EVO 3 anchoring platforms, giving attendees a comprehensive look at scalable measuring solutions for today’s increasingly complex vehicle structures. If you’ve followed us for a while, you’ll recognize this system, since it’s the same type of Car-O-Liner repair system we installed for a collision shop in Daphne AL a few weeks ago.
With the CAR-O-LINER display wall and tool systems as the backdrop, participants worked directly with anchoring equipment, measuring components, and rack configurations designed to ensure OEM-compliant structural repairs.
Precision Measuring in a Modern Collision Environment
Modern vehicle construction demands accuracy at every stage of structural repair, this is one reason more shops have turned to computerized measuring systems. Advanced materials, tighter tolerances, and manufacturer repair procedures require both the right equipment and the right training.
During the session, I-CAR instructors guided the group through:
- Proper vehicle positioning and anchoring techniques
- Bench rack setup best practices
- Structural pulling strategy and verification
- Pre- and post-repair measuring procedures
- Documentation and quality control standards
By working hands-on with EVO 1, 2, and 3 configurations, technicians were able to see how the platform adapts to different shop environments, from single-bay repair setups to high-production MSO operations.
The ability to measure accurately before, during, and after structural pulls is not just about efficiency. It is about safety, liability protection, and delivering repairs that meet manufacturer specifications.
